SRE Chapter Meeting - Luncheon

“Scenario Based Reliability Analysis”

Bringing forward Root Cause analysis, normally used in the final or operational phase, may provide significant benefit during the reliability assessment performed in a project design or development phase. One benefit of this technique is it provides a methodology to deal with reliability data uncertainties. This can also aid the reliability analysis team in identifying scenarios that need more in-depth analysis. These scenarios can improve sensitivity case development, which guides the analyst on developing recommendations.
